2. Training objectives:
2.1. General objectives:
The Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Services Management program equips students with in-depth and modern knowledge aligned with the national digital competency framework. The program develops graduates with professional competence, ethical standards, political awareness, sound ideology, and good health. Students acquire foundational knowledge of law, economics, culture, and society, alongside specialized expertise in tourism and travel services management. The program also fosters research capacity and prepares learners for postgraduate study.
2.2. Specific objectives:
The training program orients graduates to have the following specific capacities, knowledge, skills and qualities:
- SO1: Provide students with a foundation of knowledge in social sciences, natural sciences, politics, law, physical education, national defense and security to meet job requirements in the context of constantly changing socio-economics. Students are able to search, retrieve, evaluate and manage digital information to serve research and make decisions related to service management activities, professional expertise, operational management, in the field of accommodation and travel;
- SO2: Provide learners with the formation, training and development of basic competencies of people working in the field of Tourism and Travel Service Management. In addition, the formation of specialized skills in commerce and services such as event organization, communication, understanding customer psychology, selling and marketing tourism products and services. The training program also focuses on providing leadership and management skills in the field of tourism and travel service business. Learners will be able to proficiently apply soft skills to serve professional activities, improve foreign language and information technology skills to meet the standards prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training as well as current regulations of Vinh Long University of Technology Education. Besides, learners can improve their interaction, communication skills, information sharing, effective use of digital technology, compliance with codes of conduct and cooperation in solving issues related to global digital governance;
- SO3: Cultivate creative thinking, lifelong self-learning, and adaptability to diverse professional models. The program promotes ethical standards as required by the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as autonomy, responsibility, and accountability for students’ learning attitudes, professional conduct, and contributions to society;
3. Learning outcomes:
After completing the undergraduate program in Tourism and Travel Services Management, students will gain specific knowledge, skills, levels of autonomy and self-responsibility as follows:
3.1. Knowledge
- LO1: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the principles of Marxism–Leninism, the guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh Thought; logical and critical thinking; and knowledge of information technology, foreign languages, law, economics, politics, national defense and security, and physical education;
- LO2: Form a solid foundation in research, analysis, and understanding of natural sciences, culture, history, geography, society, psychology, and human behavior; communication skills for social interaction in general and customer service in particular. Graduates are also able to effectively search, retrieve, evaluate, and manage digital information for research and decision-making purposes;
- LO3: Proficiently use digital tools and modern technologies to create knowledge, innovate processes and products, and solve problems in digital environments. Graduates demonstrate specialized knowledge of services and tourism, including travel, hotels, restaurants, event management, and MICE tourism, along with an understanding of legal frameworks, organizational methods, and business operations in tourism and travel services.
3.2. Skills
- LO4: Analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate travel management and hospitality operations, including sales and marketing of tourism products and services, event organization, human resource management, and customer service.
- CDR5: Conduct market research, analyze economic and financial indicators, and organize and digital management of business activities in tourism and travel services.
- CDR6: Apply professional management knowledge to develop business ideas and entrepreneurship in tourism and travel services in the digital era.
- CDR7: Become proficiency in digital technology and foreign language use, with the ability to apply these skills in scientific research and professional practice.
3.3. Autonomy and responsibility
CDR8: Serve as role models in upholding professional ethics, maintaining lifelong learning and professional development, and demonstrating autonomy, responsibility, and accountability in work and social contexts.

5. Job opportunities:
Graduates of the Tourism and Travel Services Management program are qualified for diverse professional roles, including:
- State agencies: Specialists in departments of culture, sports, and tourism; cultural and information offices; or tourism promotion centers.
- Academic and research institutions: Lecturers and researchers in schools and institutes engaged in tourism research and training.
- Tourism and travel enterprises: Sales staff, supervisors, banquet or hall managers, receptionists, room service staff, restaurant staff, tour designers, tour operators, tour guides, and managers in event companies, entertainment venues, and service organizations. Graduates can establish their own businesses in the tourism and travel services sector.
