2. Program Objectives:

2.1. General Objectives

The Bachelor Program in Educational Sciences aims to develop the competencies of educators in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The program equips learners with core knowledge in social sciences and humanities; fundamental, interdisciplinary, and comprehensive knowledge and skills in Educational Sciences, thereby fostering research capacity in educational sciences for sustainable development.

2.2. Specific Objectives  

Upon graduation, learners are expected to acquire the following knowledge, skills, and qualities:

  • Objective 1: The program provides learners with core knowledge in the fields of social sciences and humanities; interdisciplinary knowledge in educational sciences; in-depth knowledge on designing and implementing educational programs (vocational education); and the ability to manage educational activities at vocational education institutions.
  • Objective 2: The program enables learners to develop and strengthen essential skills required for educators at educational institutions. Learners are trained to acquire both core and complementary professional skills, such as identifying and solving professional issues; evaluating and proposing improvements in educational practices; and effectively applying foreign languages and information technology in professional tasks and workplace communication.
  • Objective 3: The program fosters learners’ professional ethics and educator ethics; ensures compliance with laws and regulations in education; and cultivates soft skills for adaptability, effective performance, and cultural appropriateness in educational environments.

3. Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the undergraduate program in Educational Sciences, graduates are expected to acquire solid knowledge, demonstrate professional skills, and show an appropriate level of awareness and responsibility as follows:

3.1.1. Knowledge

  • Outcome 1: Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and apply appropriately in professional practice the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as well as the laws and regulations of the State, in order to maintain proper conduct in society.
  • Outcome 2: Possess fundamental knowledge in psychology, social sciences, and humanities, and apply it to educational practices at educational institutions.

3.1.2. Skills

  • Outcome 3: Develop habits of maintaining personal health and enhancing self-capacity (lifelong learning).
  • Outcome 4: Proficiently use tools and means of communication, collaboration, and effective work performance, including foreign language competence (according to VLUTE’s requirements) and basic information technology skills.
  • Outcome 5: Apply “soft” competencies such as explanation, critical thinking, creativity, and independent thinking in solving problems related to education and vocational education activities.
  • Outcome 6: Carry out office tasks required in educational and vocational education institutions. 
  • Outcome 7: Design and organize the implementation of educational activities at vocational education institutions.
  • Outcome 8: Conduct scientific research and educational research in accordance with individual competence and job position.

3.1.3. Autonomy and Responsibility

  • Outcome 9: Cultivate professional passion and community engagement; comply with the law in speech, writing, and actions; and demonstrate a spirit of initiative, responsibility, and accountability in professional practice.

4. Program Duration

The full-time undergraduate program is designed to be completed within 4 years.

5. Career Opportunities:

Upon graduation, students will be qualified to work in the following positions:

- Perform office and administrative duties at educational institutions (particularly vocational education institutions), education management agencies, and organizations with functions related to culture, society, and education.

- Engage in educational activities at educational institutions (particularly vocational education institutions), training centers, research institutes, schools for educational management staff development, and soft skills training centers.

- Conduct scientific research in educational institutions (particularly vocational education institutions), educational research centers, schools for educational management staff development, and educational projects.

- Work in enterprises and organizations, undertaking tasks related to planning, organizing training activities, and developing human resource capacity; as well as designing and developing training programs for workforce development.

6. Further Study Opportunities:

Graduates are eligible to pursue higher education at both domestic and international institutions, including postgraduate programs (Master’s and Doctoral levels).
