2. Program objectives:
2.1. General objectives:
The undergraduate training program in Automotive Engineering Technology aims to equip students with basic knowledge for comprehensive development; Be able to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills to undertake the work of a technology engineer, and at the same time be able to adapt to the development of Automotive Engineering Technology.
Have a basic understanding of vocational education science, have vocational pedagogical capacity; apply pedagogical knowledge and skills to vocational teaching according to the trained major; train teachers' moral qualities and form the personality of teachers and vocational lecturers.
After graduation, students can work at companies, factories, or enterprises in automotive engineering technology, mechanical engineering, or teach at training institutions in Automotive Engineering Technology.
2.2. Specific objectives:
SO1: Understand Marxist-Leninist political economy, Marxist-Leninist philosophy, scientific socialism, Ho Chi Minh thought, general law; have basic knowledge in the fields of social sciences and humanities, physical education and national security and defense to practice good health suitable for the training major and be ready to participate in building and defending the country, effectively contributing to the sustainable development of society;
SO2: Apply basic knowledge of mathematics and natural sciences (Advanced Mathematics, General Physics, ...) to meet the requirements for acquiring professional education knowledge in professional work and scientific research in the field of Automotive Engineering Technology, meeting the ability to study at higher levels.
SO3: Apply basic knowledge of the industry (technical drawing, materials science, tolerances - measurement techniques, theoretical mechanics, material strength, finite element method, principles - machine parts, electrical - electronic engineering...) and specialized knowledge to have the capacity to detect and solve problems related to design and manufacturing in industrial production systems;
SO4: Evaluate product quality after maintenance and repair; establish technological processes for car maintenance and repair; apply scientific and technical advances in car diagnosis, maintenance and repair; have proficient practical skills, meet the prescribed professional practice skills standards; foreign language proficiency; have communication skills; have independent and teamwork skills sufficient to work at enterprises, dealers, car manufacturing and assembly facilities in and outside the country;
SO5: Have a sense of civic responsibility; have the right attitude and professional ethics; have an understanding of discipline and industrial style; ability to work in a team, have scientific working methods, have the ability to think creatively, practice the moral qualities of a teacher and form the personality of a teacher and vocational lecturer
3. Learning outcomes:
After completing the undergraduate program in Automotive Engineering Technology, students will gain knowledge, have skills, and demonstrate the following levels of autonomy and personal responsibility:
3.1. Knowledge
- LO1: Recognize, apply, and update the Party's policies and the State's laws.
- LO2: Express knowledge of Marxist-Leninist philosophy, Marxist-Leninist political economy, scientific socialism, Ho Chi Minh thought, social sciences and humanities, physical education, and national security, etc., appropriate to the training major, and be ready to participate in building and defending the country.
- LO3: Apply knowledge of natural sciences to learning basic subjects of the major and major.
- LO 4: Recognize basic knowledge of the industry to solve professional problems as well as scientific research in the field of automotive engineering technology.
- LO5: Apply specialized knowledge to the professional field, serving the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of mechanisms and systems of internal combustion engines, automotive electricity, and chassis; serving the planning, organization, and supervision of implementation processes, management, and operation of professional activities in the automotive field and as a foundation for improving qualifications at higher levels of education.
3.2. Skills
- LO6: Apply political, basic, and industry-based knowledge to lead and start a business to create jobs for oneself and others in the automotive field;
- LO7: Apply scientific and technical advances to serve the inspection, maintenance, and repair of automobiles and the development of new products;
- LO8: Organize and implement maintenance, repair, improvement, and upgrading of systems on automobiles;
- LO9: Operate equipment, production lines, and analyze and check the quality of products after repair.
- LO10: Evaluate the quality of work after completion and evaluate the performance of team members during the process of using, operating, testing, inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, as well as researching and improving systems of internal combustion engines, automobile electricity, chassis, and electric cars to improve efficiency;
- LO11: Communicate and guide others in specialized knowledge and skills of Automotive Engineering Technology at the workplace; have the skills to debate, criticize, and use alternative solutions in uncertain or changing environmental conditions.
- LO12: Use foreign languages and information technology to study, research, and work in an international integration environment serving management and business services related to the automotive sector;
