2. Training objectives:
2.1 General objectives:
The Bachelor of Tourism program aims to develop learners’ professional and digital competencies to meet the requirements of the new era. The program provides students with core knowledge in political theory, law, defense education, foreign languages, and informatics; fundamental knowledge in socio-economics and management; and practical tourism skills. These foundations enable learners to meet the professional standards of tourism employees in the context of international integration. The program also ensures that students acquire digital competencies in alignment with the digital competency framework, which includes six competency domains with twenty-four component competencies, ranging from basic to advanced levels.
2.2 Specific objectives (SO):
SO1: The training program equips learners with foundational knowledge of general education, including political theory, law, defense and security, social sciences and humanities, foreign languages, and informatics. Students also gain professional knowledge in economics, management, marketing, tourism, and administration in accommodation and travel services. In addition, learners acquire the ability to exploit and manage data, identify reliable information sources, organize data effectively, and apply them to support decision-making and problem-solving in digital environments.
SO2: The training program helps develop learners’ core competencies, including practical professional skills, proficiency in hotel and travel operations, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills. Students also strengthen communication skills, foreign language proficiency, and digital literacy to support self-learning and professional growth. Furthermore, learners enhance their capacity for communication and collaboration in digital environments alongside traditional face-to-face communication, enabling them to interact, share information, work in teams, and participate in online tourism communities while respecting cultural diversity, managing digital identities, and fostering cooperation in digital contexts.
SO3:The training program helps cultivate learners’ moral qualities in accordance with institutional standards; develop autonomy and accountability in their attitudes, commitment, and learning quality. Students enhance critical and creative thinking skills to identify, analyze, and solve problems effectively within the context of smart tourism and digital transformation.
3. Learning outcomes:
3.1 Learning outcomes (LO)
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Tourism program, graduates will acquire the following knowledge, skills, and levels of autonomy and responsibility:
3.1.1 Knowledge
- LO1: Comprehend the fundamental principles of Marxism-Leninism, the guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh Thought; demonstrate logical reasoning; and understand informatics, foreign languages, law, economics, politics, national defense and security, physical education, as well as issues of safety in the digital environment.
- LO2: Demonstrate both basic and advanced understanding of the natural sciences, culture, history, geography, society, psychology, communication, and state management of tourism. Possess in-depth professional knowledge of tourism and apply digital competencies through the use of digital tools and software in hotel, restaurant, and travel business operations.
3.1.2 Skills
- LO3: Perform professional tasks in hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage services, while effectively exploiting data, communicating, and collaborating in digital environments.
- LO4: Design and operate tourism programs; work as tour guides at travel agencies; organize and manage tourism events; apply artificial intelligence in problem-solving within both physical and digital environments related to professional practice.
- LO5: Search, filter, evaluate, and manage digital data; synthesize, analyze, and assess issues in tourism; and apply organizational, administrative, and managerial skills to handle professional situations in tourism enterprises.
- LO6: Demonstrate teamwork skills by forming, developing, and leading effective teams to address real-world problems in tourism. Conduct independent research and acquire training in tourism management and administration, with the ability to collaborate effectively in digital environments.
- LO7: Use foreign languages and informatics proficiently to perform professional tasks in tourism; apply statistical data processing software and tourism management systems effectively; employ artificial intelligence ethically and responsibly, ensuring transparency and fairness.
3.1.3 Autonomy and responsibility
- LO8: Maintain professional ethics, enthusiasm for the profession, and a strong commitment to self-study and professional development; demonstrate self-control and high responsibility toward work and society; ensure physical and mental well-being in digital environments, and act responsibly to protect the digital environment in accordance with Vietnamese legal frameworks.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Tourism program are qualified to work in the following positions:
- Specialists at state management agencies in tourism, such as the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism at provincial and municipal levels, departments of culture and information, and tourism promotion centers.
- Lecturers and researchers at universities and research institutions specializing in tourism research and training.
- Staff, supervisors, or managers in tourism enterprises, including hotel front office, housekeeping, and restaurant departments; staff and managers in tour design, operations, and guiding at travel businesses; or employees and managers in event management companies and entertainment venues.
6. Further study opportunities:
Graduates possess the capacity for lifelong learning and are qualified to pursue master’s degrees in Tourism or related fields. They are also able to undertake scientific research projects at the grassroots level or participate in research at higher levels in education and tourism.
