Official survey of Quality Accreditation of university-level education at the Training Program level

On September 9, 2022, Vinh Long University of Technology (VLUTE) held the opening ceremony for the official Quality Assurance Assessment of University-level Training Programs for 2 programs: Social Work and Thermal Engineering Technology.

Attending were Associate Professor Nguyen Thanh Tung - Chairman of the University Council, Associate Professor. Le Hong Ky - Vice Rector, members of the Self-Assessment Council, lecturers, and students of the 2 programs officially surveyed.

On the part of the Saigon Education Quality Assurance Center - The unit responsible for conducting the official survey included Associate Professor Nguyen Kim Dung - Director; Associate Professor Do Hanh Nga - Deputy Director; Master Le Hoang Vu - Deputy Director; Associate Professor Doan Thi Minh Trinh - Inspector; Master Le Nhu Dzi - Inspector; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu - Office Manager.

During the 4 working days from September 9 to September 12, 2022, the survey team conducted the review of self-assessment reports, documentary evidence, conducted interviews with relevant parties such as: leaders, students, businesses, alumni... conducted on-site inspections of infrastructure according to the 11 criteria stipulated in Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT dated March 14, 2016 of the Ministry of Education and Training, Regulations on quality assessment standards for training programs at higher education institutions.

Vinh Long University of Technology's implementation of program quality accreditation is a necessary and fundamental requirement to carry out autonomy according to the amended Higher Education Law. At the same time, conducting program-level accreditation is to publicly disclose the conditions ensuring the quality of training programs to society, helping parents, learners, and especially businesses to monitor the quality of programs provided by the university.

Concurrently, accredited training programs will help learners study under conditions of high quality assurance, consistency from output standards, infrastructure system, program management capacity, updated curriculum system, active teaching methods, helping learners develop their own capacities and meet increasingly high recruitment requirements of businesses. Therefore, learners encounter many advantages when participating in job search and integration with the international labor market.
