Conference on "The Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education and Digital Transformation"
On February 6th, 2025, Vinh Long University of Technology Education (VLUTE) organized a conference on "The Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education and Digital Transformation."
The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Tùng, the Rector, along with all lecturers and staff.
In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Tùng highlighted the important role of AI in education. He said that AI helps reduce lecturers' workload, improves teaching quality, and aligns with modern educational trends. Through this conference, the university’s teaching staff could learn more about AI and use its benefits to create more engaging and visually effective lessons. In addition, AI can greatly improve student management by providing smart, efficient, and measurable solutions. This helps save time while increasing effectiveness.
During the conference, all university lecturers were introduced to various AI-powered tools, from basic to advanced. These included ChatGPT, Bing AI, Gamma, Pictory, Narakeet, and Grammarly.These tools help with many teaching tasks, such as creating both in-person and online lessons, developing digital learning materials, and designing assessment questions for different skill levels. AI applications were also discussed in academic administration and student management.
AI is gradually revolutionizing digital transformation by automating daily tasks. Learning to use AI tools and technology will help create new developments and innovations. The Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, issued on December 22nd , 2024, identified science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as decisive factors for national development. It emphasized that these elements are essential prerequisites and the best opportunities for Vietnam to become a strong and prosperous nation in the new era.
