From April 1 to 5, 2025, the student team from Vinh Long University of Technology Education (VLUTE) showcased their skills at the 2025 National Mathematics Olympiad, a prestigious event for university and high school students.
This year's Olympiad attracted a remarkable participation of 90 teams from universities and academies across the nation, with 649 students registering for a total of 749 exam entries in Algebra and Calculus, categorized into Group A and Group B. The National Mathematics Olympiad is a highly anticipated annual event, drawing in students, educators, and mathematics enthusiasts from all over the country.
Significantly, this year’s competition held special meaning as it marked the first time in over two decades that the Olympiad took place in the southern region since 2003. Hosted in Ho Chi Minh City, the event coincided with the nationwide celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, commemorating a pivotal moment in the country's history (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).
The Ministry of Education and Training, in partnership with various universities and relevant organizations, recently organized an exciting national competition open to students and pupils across the country. Representing VLUTE, eight talented students participated in challenging examinations focused on Algebra and Calculus. The university-level competition took place from April 1 to April 5, 2025, at Saigon University. The event kicked off with an opening ceremony, followed by exam sessions, grading activities, and engaging discussions between participants from April 1 to April 4. The grand finale featured a closing ceremony and awards presentation on April 5, 2025.
