On May 21, 2025, a delegation from the Department of Education and Sports of Champasak Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, visited and worked with Vinh Long University of Technology Education (VLUTE) to discuss training and human resource development initiatives.

The delegation from the Department of Education and Sports of Champasak Province included Mr. SOUVANNASANE Bouathong – Director, Mr. APHAI Phouvong – Deputy Director, Mr. BOUALAPHANE Viengnakhone – Deputy Director, and leaders of various functional units. Representing VLUTE were Dr. Nguyen Minh Sang – Chairman of the University Council, along with distinguished faculty members and representatives from various units.

During the working session, VLUTE introduced its training programs, modes of education, training durations, graduation requirements, and specific conditions for Lao students enrolling at the university. The Champasak delegation expressed particular interest in scholarship policies for Lao students, learning conditions at the university, and the support provided by VLUTE in developing the province’s human resources.

As an initial step, VLUTE will provide five full scholarships for students from Champasak Province, covering tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, and ensuring the safety of Lao students during their studies at the university. This initiative further strengthens the friendly, cooperative, and special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between Champasak Province and Vinh Long University of Technical Education in particular.

On this occasion, the delegation from the Department of Education and Sports of Champasak Province toured the university’s electrical energy center, high-tech workshop, T-TEP center, and facilities supporting various academic programs at VLUTE.
