On November 30, 2022, the Saigon Education Quality Assurance Center (CEA-Saigon) in collaboration with Vinh Long University of Technical Education (VLUTE) organized the announcement and presentation of the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) accreditation for the Program according to Circular 04

Representatives from the external evaluation team included TS.Nguyen Kim Dung - Director of CEA-Saigon; ThS. Le Hoang Vu - Deputy Director. From the Vinh Long Department of Education and Training, there was Mr. Trinh Van Ngoan - Deputy Director, along with teachers from high schools in the province.

Representatives from VLUTE included the presence of PGS.TS Le Hong Ky - Vice Rector, representatives of departments, faculties, and lecturers and students from the two accredited programs: social work (CTXH) and thermal engineering technology (KTN). According to the accreditation results, the thermal engineering technology field achieved accreditation with a rate of 84%, with an average score of 3.9. The Social Work field achieved accreditation with a rate of 82%, with an average score of 3.83.

In her speech at the ceremony, TS.Nguyen Kim Dung extended congratulations to the university's leadership, faculty, and students of the CTXH and KTN programs. On behalf of CEA-Saigon, TS.Nguyen Kim Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements and results that the university has attained in the field of quality assurance. With this proud result, Vinh Long University of Technical Education will continue to collaborate and harness collective strength in ensuring quality across more training programs in the future.

Representing the university's leadership, PGS.TS Le Hong Ky - Vice Rector expressed joy at the achieved results. Through preparation and completion of documentation and evidence, along with the official survey period for external evaluation conducted with seriousness, transparency, and openness by the evaluation team, the accreditation was granted for meeting quality standards for the two fields of study. On behalf of the entire university staff, PGS.TS Le Hong Ky also pledged continuous efforts to leverage strengths and improve existing areas, in line with the recommendations made by the evaluation team, to enhance and elevate the quality of the university's education.

Following the announcement and certificate presentation ceremony, VLUTE continued to collaborate with CEA-Saigon to kick off preliminary surveys for 04 training programs. Specifically, there are 03 undergraduate programs: Food Technology, Biological Technology, Veterinary Medicine. There is 01 Master's program: Electrical Engineering.

The quality assurance standards for university programs under Circular 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT dated March 14, 2016 of the Ministry of Education and Training consist of 11 standards with 50 criteria. The standards delve into various aspects: Program objectives and outcomes, Program description, Curriculum structure and content, Teaching and learning approaches, Assessment of student learning outcomes, Faculty members, researchers, Staff, Students and student support activities, Facilities and equipment, Quality improvement, Outcomes. The accreditation results are valid for 05 years.

Quality assurance and quality enhancement are mandatory requirements of the Vietnamese Higher Education Law, achieving accreditation is not a stopping point but rather seen as achievements and an important step in the university's quality assurance efforts to continuously improve and enhance the reputation of education for students and society as a whole.
