On March 24, 2023, the Saigon Education Quality Accreditation Center (CEA Saigon) in collaboration with Vinh Long University of Technical Education (VLUTE) organized the announcement and issuance of the Education Quality Accreditation (EQA) for Training Programs

Attendees included Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung - Director of CEA Saigon; Assoc. Prof. Cao Hung Phi - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Assoc. Prof. Le Hong Ky - Vice Rector; Mr. Nguyen Minh Sang - Vice Rector Representatives of teachers from high schools in Vinh Long province; Representing Vinh Long University of Technical Education (VLUTE) were Mr. Thai Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Council, Mr. Pham Huu Truyen - Rector, Mr. Cao Danh Chinh - Vice Rector, and representatives from departments and faculties of VLUTE.

During the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Kim Dung congratulated the university on its successes in both development and EQA activities. With the accreditation of training programs meeting quality standards, the university will become a high-quality human resource training institution serving the region and the country amidst new development contexts.

Assoc. Prof. Cao Hung Phi emphasized that quality accreditation is a mandatory task. On behalf of the university leadership, Assoc. Prof. Cao Hung Phi sincerely thanked the assessment team from CEA Saigon for providing honest and objective feedback, helping the university improve and continue to develop the quality of education. This result is not only a testament to the efforts of all faculty, staff, and students of the evaluated program, but also a motivation and foundation for the university to strive for all fields of study to meet accreditation standards.

This is considered a significant milestone in the university's continuous journey of improvement and enhancement of teaching and learning quality at VLUTE. To meet the stringent criteria of the standards for accrediting university training programs under Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT, the university has made long-term preparations, ranging from curriculum development, learning outcomes standards, teaching methods, learning resources, assessment, student performance evaluation to human resources, infrastructure, and student care services.

From December 8-12, 2022, the official quality assessment survey for university-level training programs in three majors: Biotechnology, Food Technology, Veterinary Medicine, and for the Master's program in Electrical Engineering was conducted at VLUTE. After the assessment team completed the report and decision-making process, certification of meeting quality standards was awarded to the four mentioned training programs.

The standard set for accrediting university training programs, Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT dated March 14, 2016 by the Ministry of Education and Training, consists of 11 criteria with 50 indicators. The accreditation result is valid for five years.

As of now, VLUTE has five undergraduate programs, one postgraduate program accredited, and in 2023, three more programs will be accredited under Circular No. 04, and five programs under international standards (Asiin - Germany).
